Sorry..been MIA!!

Where has the past week gone?? I have had some questions about our flock of baby scissortails...and I am proud to say they flew the coop last Thursday, the 25th! They didn't fly very far, but made their way to some farm eequipment we have by the driveway. Mom and dad were right by them, still bringing them some food. Later that night, they actually flew into the pasture!! So proud of the little guys, but sad to see them leave the front yard. We think we still see them around here though. truly a great experience for us all!

Our 8th Anniversary..and a layout!

Today is our 8th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe it's been 8 years, we have had our share of ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade one single day being married to my husband. I love you Roy!! Did a challenge over at Jessica Sprague and so I took the chance to do a layout featuring Roy.

I needed this today....

God is Cheering for You
by Max Lucado

If your God is Mighty enough to ignite the sun, could it be that He is mighty enough to light your path?

God is for you. Not "may be," not "has been," not "was," not "would be," but "God is!" He is for you. Today. At this hour. At this minute. As you read this sentence. No need to wait in line or come back tomorrow. He is with you. He could not be closer than he is at this second. His loyalty won't increase if you are better nor lessen if you are worse. He is for you.

God is for you. Turn to the sidelines; that's God cheering your run. Look past the finish line; that's God applauding your steps. Listen for him in the bleachers, shouting your name. Too tired to continue? He'll carry you. Too discouraged to fight? He's picking you up. God is for you.

God is for you. Had he a calendar, your birthday would be circled. If he had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If he drove a car, your name would be on his bumper. If there's a tree in heaven, he's carved your name in the bark. We know he has a tattoo, and we know what it says. "I have written your name on my hand," he declares (Isa. 49:16).

So proud of a dear friend I grew up with.....

Kristy is now a published author!! She has written a Christian children's book called " God made me in China". Her and her family are in the process of adopting from China and I am so proud of her! You can read more about their journey here http://www.franceskasjourneyhome.blogspot.com/.

Tiny bubbles.....

Sometimes all it takes is some bubbles to remind us that being a kid is pretty darn cool! Will went to the Library yesterday and they played with bubbles and learned how to make them, so I went to the Dollar Store to get some wands and lots-o-bubbles! We had a blast!! Well, Will and I had fun, Bolt seemed a bit bored by the whole thing, when he wasn't running away from the bubbles!

Perfection is so overrated!!

Warning....I'm going to get very real here for a second. I have someone clean my house twice a month. *Gasp.* There, I said it. I never, EVER thought I'd have someone to clean my house when I grew up but there you go. So today is the day. I'll head to work and when I come home, the house will sparkle and all will be well with the world... until we make it messy again in a few days. Now, I love to cook, but I hate to clean and do laundry. So, after years of struggling with this dilema, I decided as long as we can afford it, I am going to have a housekeeper. No reason to stress and pull my hair out and fuss with Roy over a dirty house. And I don't feel guilty about it either..lol. I learned not long after Will was born that some things are just not worth the battle. Yes, sometimes it means me doing without a new pair of shoes or new clothes, but it is SO worth it!! Lesson for the day..perfection is way overrated!! Embrace the cold hard truth that you can't do it all. And you really shouldn't have to!!
